This track was recorded in Upstate NY at an annual Seeger event. It was one of the times I felt that old time string band music was the impetus of everything that came after it in this country and abroad. We could hear James Brown we could hear the hypnotic melodic and rhythmic African and Native influences. Just incredible…how this music just breathes effortlessly through time.
